I am planning on coming to see Born to Fly, and I want to bring a few friends, I was wondering how many people does the theater seat? and how much are tickets and also will there be a Q & A after? Is there any way you could request a few of the Streb members to come for a Q & A?

Hi, thanks for your interest. We have 2 theaters, one seats 125, the other seats 86. Not sure which we’ll be screening this on. Tickets will be $8. We are still working out details for a possible Q & A.

Our documentary Llyn Foulkes One Man Band just qualified for an Oscar and we would love to book with Cinema Detroit for our Michigan premiere. Audiences, from students to seniors alike, are raving and the only way to see the film is through venues like yours.
We followed American painter Llyn Foulkes for seven years until he was rediscovered by the international art world at age 77. The film illuminates the struggles and pitfalls of pursuing a passion, but it’s not just about being an artist - it’s about being a beautifully-flawed human.
You can view the trailer at http://www.llynfoulkesfilm.com and we are happy to provide your booker with a secure online screener.

If I buy my tickets online, do I need to print a confirmation to bring or will the confirmation number be enough to present at the ticket office? Thanks.

Hi Lou, either the confirmation number or your name is enough to retrieve online tickets at the box office. Thanks! Paula

I was wondering if you would possibly be playing the Hungarian film White God in your theater? Been searching venues, but no one seems to be playing it, and Cinema Detroit always seems to find those off beat gems that no one else has :)

Hi Kylee,
I’m always sorry to disappoint anyone, but we’ve found foreign films to be an extremely tough sell and so have no plans to screen White God.
Best,
Paula

I’m hosting a group of students May 17-23 and would love to bring them to Cinema Detroit. Do you have anything programmed for that week?

Hi DJW,
I’ve just updated the sidebar on the right with our complete May lineup and will be adding more info ASAP. We have three films starting on May 15 that will be showing during the time you mention: We Are Still Here is a horror film, Animals is a drama about a young homeless couple, and I Am Big Bird is a documentary about Carroll Spinney, who has portrayed Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street since 1969. Hope this helps.
